THEME OF CONFERENCE

The conference theme is based upon the exploration, discovery and distribution of Australian and South Pacific species arising from Banks and Solander’s work.

Concepts such as: but not limited to:

    • The importance of botanic gardens to represent historical use of plants in the region;
    • What species are in your gardens that were identified by BnS;  Species that BnS left behind;
    • The value of plant hunting; Your local plant hunters; Will there be future plant hunters

We encourage topics and questions that are aligned with the conference theme but will consider other interesting ‘Friends’ related topics.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Conference Convenor to discuss
