Itinerary

Monday 25th May

Leave Brisbane via bus 08:00hrs from Roma St

  • Travel to The Marshall Garden
    GCBG Friends members Evelyn and Bob Marshall’s garden –  ‘Tani tai en’ situated in the beautiful Currumbin Valley – morning tea on arrival in the historic farm sheds. 
  • Bus to:
    Tropical Fruit World Duranbah via Chinderah Bay Drive on Tweed River with views to Mt Warning. 
  • Lunch of sandwich platter will be pre-ordered
    …followed by plantation orchard visit, then tropical fruit tasting.
  • Travel to overnight 4 star accommodation via a short stop and walk at Fingal Head, gardens and enjoy coastal views across to Cook Is.
  • Overnight free time

Tuesday 26th May

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • 5 minute Bus ride To Gold Coast Regional Botanic Garden
    • welcome intro by Curator Paul
    • 2 alternating tours 
      • Story of Country and Bushfood 
      • Wallum and Endeavour 250 Headland Garden
    • Then swap. 
  • On the run morning – tea cool drinks/water and light snack /biscuits/muffin
  • Lunch under the marquee with the Friends – sandwiches, wraps and slices with Bushfood influence
  • After lunch another two tours
    • Herbarium & Nursery 
    • Flowers by Friends display/demo and Rosser Garden
  • Leave GCBG for a mystery garden tour
  • Arrive back in Brisbane no later than 4pm
